Health Services is bringing out its 3rd Annual Bulletin
on Health statistics of Orissa 2000-2001.

publication provides a lot of information
on
government health institutions, manpower, the
health budget, treatment of patients and various
National Health Programmes. I hope this issue will
serve as a useful reference for all those associated
with the health sector.

MESSAGE
It gives me immense pleasure to know that the State Bureau of
Health intelligence of this Directorate is going to publish its 3
rd.
annual bulletin - Health Statistics of Orissa 2000-2001. Having gone
through the tables, I feel this exercise would cater to the need of
Programme Officers and agencies associated with the planning and
implementation of various health programmes.

FOREWORD
I am really thankful to the State Bureau of Health
Intelligence of this Directorate who has taken a lot of pain &
interest to publish this Annual Bulletin on Health Statistics
covering the entire fields of health activities of the State.
This is a most essential bulletin as well as guide for all
the Programme Officers of the Health & F.W Department to
asses the magnitude of different Health Programmes of the
State. This is also most essential for the future planning of
different health programmes in the State.

This annual bulletin on health statistics ofOrissa published
by the State Bureau of Health Intelligence ofDirectorate of
Health Services, Orissa is the 3rd publication of its series. Unlike
previous issues, the current publication is embodied with certain
more Health Infrastructures not covered earlier. This is an ideal
effort to analyse achtewment and to go ahead with programmes in
various Projects & draw plan of action accordingly.
